Course objectives:

The objective of the training course is to strengthen participants’ competencies in TB-IC on managerial, administrative, environmental, and personal protection measures by updating on best practices and tools in TB-IC program; prioritizing necessary activities and implement them according country available resources.

To provide an overview of the global and regional PMDT situation, guidelines and policies;

To provide evidence based training on the PMDT from Rwandan PMDT demonstrations facilities and NTP;

To provide training on the Clinical Management of DR-TB for specialized clinicians;

To provide insight into Ethical issues related to PMDT;

To introduce to research within PMDT.

Course objectives:

The objectives of this training course are:

To provide an overview of  the global  and regional TB/HIV co-infection situation, guidelines and policies;

To provide evidence on the programmatic and clinical management of TB/HIV from Rwandan TB/HIV co infection experience (One Stop TB/HIV);

To update on latest laboratory/diagnostics for TB/HIV coinfection (Hain, Gene Xpert, culture, new technologies);

To prioritize TB- Infection control in TB/HIV;

To introduce to Research in TB/HIV co-infection.

Course objectives:

The objectives of this training course are:

To introduce to the latest updates on lab developments related to Drug Resistant TB;

To introduce to research within PMDT (including laboratory)

To conduct appropriate laboratory processes and techniques of growth detection;

To  develop quality indicators (e.g. internal quality control) and conduct external quality assessment of growth detection and identification.

Target group: TB Infection Control professionals who are engaged in TB-IC program implementation in their respective countries.

Target group:  PMDT Managers, Focal Points and Clinicians working in MDR facilities or intending to.

 

Target group: TB/HIV focal persons for MoH, NTP, HIV program, clinicians in charge of TB/HIV or HIV.

Target group: Biomedical Laboratory technologists working in TB service and Pathologists specialized in TB.
